Saw 16 different deer this evening, just not the one I am after, passed shooting a big doe in the rain, she won't be as lucky tomorrow. Couple nice 8 points that will awesome next year, 6 point and a couple spikes.

heading out to one of my favorite stands. Action is picking up around here. Gonna see if any big guys are cruising here this morning to make scrapes and rubs
Jesse, bearded Chad, and I are deep in the hills of Stroud's. About ready to get in the stand.
In the woods. Busted nothing getting in. Been locked in since 715. I am here with zero expectations. Just enjoying the woods this beautiful morning. Seen nothing so far. Won't hunt this again for at least a week. Probably do a short walk about after my sit to pull a camera card. Recon sit.

Been out since bout 7. Absolutely beautiful out here this morning and the best part is it finally feels like deer season.... im set up on the side of a small hill with bedding area behind me. No real expectations but a guy never knows...

Small basket rack 8 snuck in behind me. Scent smoker kept him curious as he hung around for 12mins trying to get me to move. Nothing else since but a coon crawling into his tree.

Well I got rained out. Got in nice and early, quiet and dry then the damn rain started. Tried to wait out but no luck. Saw a coon, heard some noise behind me but it was to dark. If it blows over I'll hunt this afternoon. Good luck!
No excuse needed. You stuck it out like we all would. Wannabes would have found a reason to run home sniveling.
