Skunked. Talked to 3 friends who hunted and it was slow . Between the 4 of us there were only 2 small bucks seen

Good lord that wind had a bite to it tonight. Felt like deer season. Saw three tonight, one was the little one horned spike again, it was to dark to tell what the the other 2 were.
2 doe and 2 spikes. All were down wind and none were the wiser. Smoke Rocks Again!

Mason saw 25+, I saw somewhere between 15 and 20. No big ones, couple of two year olds dogging does all over the place.

I had a buck grunting in front of me then to my left and then to my right weird. Probably the weirdest sounding grunting. Short and somewhat high pitched. Weird. Also saw 2 doe.
I saw 10 last night. It rained on me twice. but then I had deer everywhere. Had a young buck chasing a doe everywhere, so by the weekend, hunting should be really good!
Nice ten just came thru. He was in my shooting lane & I couldn't get set up in time. He got behind some bushy stuff at 15 yrds & simply vanished.
Nothing yet here this morning. Too calm right now . Be nice if the wind would pick up a bit .
It's been breezy here all am. Lone doe just came thru from where that buck I assume went. I was hoping he'd be following.
Got a steady breeze here now . Saw a doe and a Fawn earlier . Nothing since . Sure feels like a good day . But not seeing much
Had the usual spike come by a couple times he and I are regular no matter what stand I'm in lol

Finally settled in. Had to swap and cards in camera. Critters tore up my tree stand seat. So I had to change it out. It's all good now. First sit of the year so I am happy.
Farm just to the east of me just fired up the combine running corn. Maybe he will push something my way.
Always like being on stand when the corns coming off... You never know what'll happen... Good luck Jon....
