I'm so sorry to hear about this and can't even begin to imagine what you and your family are going through. You're all in our prayers at the Curran house. Keep on pushing forward just like Conor would want you to. #honorconor

Thank you for all the prayers and support. My wife and I never imagined going through something like this.
I have never been as active as others on TOO but have always been involved. There are so many from here
that were instrumental in helping Connor harvest his first deer. Although they never really knew that. I drew
a ton of inspiration and ideas from reading everyone's journey. I took a ton of that knowledge and applied it to
our hunts. Connor came really close several times over the years and experienced the frustration of losing a couple deer.
I would come on here share the hunt and as usual many on here would give advice and encouragement.
I always passed the messages on to Connor to help him grow as a hunter.
A couple guys on here probably do not realize the impact they had.
Jesse you may not remember but several years ago I was needing a youth model shotgun so that Connor
could go out with me. You offered one up to me. I ended up finding one locally but the offer was there from you.
I remember telling Connor about it at the time and I really believe he learned something
about always lending a helping hand even if you do not know them.
Rgecko23- not sure if you remember or not. Almost 2 years ago you met me halfway so I could buy a bow from you for Connor.
It had to be close to a 2 hour drive for you and you never blinked an eye. Connor was smiles from ear to ear when I gave it to him.
Brock- You never knew it but I shared your adventures with your son and Connor thought it was cool. I believe it pushed him
in the woods and drove him to get that first deer.
There were many others that gave without knowing it.
The memories I have will last a lifetime. Thank you to everyone for helping me create those memories. I just hope that I can give
back to this forum what y'all have given to me.
God Bless you all.

To be honest Jon, I'd forgotten about that. I'm glad it was a gesture that stuck with you all. I learned from Milo and Geezer that paying it forward it really what this is all about. Keep the fire burning. So I was doing what great men before me have paid forward. This place is more than a metaphorical brotherhood, its the real deal.

Sorry for your loss and know that your family will be in my thoughts.

This season will undoubtedly be the hardest season but you have to get back out there not only for Conner but for yourself as well.

The last couple days I have scrolled past this thread. With a 10,12, and nearly 14yr old at home. . . this thread is tough for me to read. I cannot begin to fathom where you are at right now, nor do I ever want to. For whatever reason I just opened it again to read more replies. I am glad to read the inspiration you have gotten from the guys on here. Makes me smile knowing I call these people my friends. I am blinking my soggy eyes trying to clear the emotion you have shared with us. I know it couldn't have been easy sharing this unfortunate news with us. My prayers for your family continue.
