Mowing and lawn care thread

This is the 1st time I've done this. I have my yard treated every year. It's beautiful in the spring, then goes downhill by July in parts. The last few years, parts of it, the grass just dies out, looks matted, can't even see the lines when I mow in these areas. The yard is quite acidic. I was told to throw lime down, add fertilizer & add grass seed after aireatinng again later on. The lawn company manager guy came out & looked at it recently. I could have had a ph check, but I'm just trying this 1st & re evaluate it in the fall. I dethached last weekend . I was thinking it might be grubs, but he didn't think so.

Reactions: Creamer
If you get a soil test done, they will give you how many tons per acre you need. Lime, or whatever they recommend applying. If acidic, I you can most likely put all the lime in there you want.
