My Buddy Bake's WOW WOW BUCK

Nice deer, needs some mass....NOT!

Holy smokes, that is a beautiful buck! One of the favorite pictures I've seen this season, that's a helluva deer
 
Thanks for all the kind words guys. What a blessing to be able to hunt whitetails with a bow. He grossed @ 151 1/2. Quite a eight point. One more year would have been nice but where I live he's in a lot of danger. I found a 120 something buck dead this evening from an arrow too far back. Jackalope, I don't have any pics from last year. I was 10 yds from him on the ground and did'nt shoot because it was too thick. Your buck looks a lot like he did, except yours has the gnarley stuff. Did you have it officially scored? I see more than 151 gross. Will you post his measurements? That buck has everything! Once again Bake, a big Congrats! Welcome to TOO!

Caught me didn't ya? I was so impressed I couldn't help myself but too post such a great buck killed by the most ethical hunter I know. Welcome to TOO Bake!!
 
Thanks, That's quite a compliment aholdren. As far as the score, well I got messed up scoring bucks from trail cam pics. I scored a buck I called Big Shorty @138. When my neighbor killed him he grossed 125. I scored Wow Wow in the 170s and he goes 151. So I'll be a little more careful after this. That's using the 6" ear and 16 " from ear tip to tip method. So here are the numbers:

Inside spread= 16
Main beams= 22 1/2 - 23
G1s = 6 - 6 1/4
G2s = 12 3/4 - 11
G3s = 11 - 11 1/2
Circ total = 32 - 1/2
Total 152 1/2

So unoffically 150ish. A great eight and I am humbled and honored to have taken him. Good hunting to all. Bake

It's offical! Gross: 158 1/8. Net: 153 7/8. Not bad for a eight point. Good hunting to all. Bake.
 
Fooled me for sure. I never tried to measure it up, but figured finelyshedded was close. Either way, an absolute stud of an 8pt. Congratulations!
