If you guys remember the broken jaw buck that was taken a couple weeks after I took oak by my FIL he’s home too! He turned out great! If he would have survived the broken jaw and all his pun took wounds and been able to withstand another winter and this summer he would have been an absolute stud this upcoming year. Awesome genetics ‘round here though lol

Oak and Jaw look like they could easily have been related. Lots of similar antler characteristics and slathered with the “IT” factor.

I’m sure they probably were. They were only killed about a mile and a half away from each other.

@finelyshedded theres a deer that made it through season that looks to me like it’d be Oaks son. When I start getting velvet pictures of him this year, I’ll post him up. Almost identical frame but about two or three years younger than he was. Saw him plenty last year. Deer has unbelievable mass already for a three year old deer. But then again, it Oak was his dad he got his genetics from a deer that had 6 3/8 main beam mass measurements at 6.5 years old lol
