Nuisance Trapping.

When I see a beavers tail I instantly want to slap someone with it. Just cut it off and straight slap the dog shit out of someone with it. Could you imagine getting slapped with that. 🤣
Dude you could straight Rick James the ever living shit out of someone with a beaver tail. Especially if you fastened a handle to it for more leverage. 🤣

Figured I’d share a little more info to help advance and add (hopefully) useful content to this thread.

This particular beaver lodge was built 3 years ago, and it was trapped the first season but not last year. The past couple months they really built the lodge up a LOT, so I suspect there’s a large family group living it it. Pretty sure this catch from last night was the adult male. So that potentially leaves an adult female and 2-5 kits. Normally I would be more careful and not trap directly on/around the lodge, for fear of missing them and educating them… But since I got the male already and it’s now the last night of the season, we’re going for broke. I now have a castor mound drowner set and 3 different underwater runs set with body-grips around the lodge.

This is may not be my finest work, and it may potentially educate a beaver, but it’s what I came up with, not having any more H-stand stabilizers. Sticks and zip ties will do the trick. If it works, I’m a genius. 🤣 For those who may be unfamiliar, if you’ve ever seen a muskrat run in a marsh… basically a hard packed trough cut out along the bottom in the mud… This is like one of those, only way bigger/wider, and coming out from the bottom of the lodge. You drive this down into the center of that run, all the way to the bottom. Beavers exit the lodge following their well-used run and find those trigger wires… bang. Lights out.

That's what I was thinking too! 😅 Tie it on the end of a 1.5 foot handle like an Indian would. Straight loosen your molars if you got hit with that. . 🤣
