Nope, archery tags, gun season tags, bonus season tags, ML tags. All of which you can purchase a buck tag for a premium charge. What’s next? Groundhogs?
Is this still “comical” to some of you?

I think it’s time for you too take a spot on the wildlife councilNow J, you didn't think they were going to reduce the deer population by 30, 40, 50% and not find a way to make up that lost revenue did ya? View attachment 93872
Hasn’t it always been about the money? Just seems a lot more greed is coming outta Columbus these days. It's all about the money J.

Here's a eye popper fact for ya!
I went ahead and gone through all the spreadsheets and extracted each year to show the history of the gross amount of money collected from Ohio hunters each year that was reported to the US Fish & Wildlife Service over a 30 year period.
Grand total of money collected over 30 years from Ohio hunters = $532,261,083.00
I question years 1995 -1997 & 2011-2013 whether or not that they were reported accurately.

Cool. Unfortunately this is all encompasing. Small game, waterfowl, turkey, trapping etc and doesn't break down just deer hunters licenses and tags. The revenue loss i was talking about was 2008 hunters harvested 252k deer. In 2018 it was 172k. Thats 80k less tags sold and used in 2008 vs 2018.. If we assumed all of those were $24 tags then that's a revenue loss of 1.92 million just in deer tags.
Still, you must admit that it’s a ton of money regardless how you slice it and have to question why the deer tags nearly doubled in cost recently.
I smell a bureaucracy rat or rats…
I agree with 'J', it's time for a change in leadership within ONDR to get back on track IMO.
