Got out to “the islands” for just a couple hours this afternoon before the E wind blew in. Only took a pic of the first fish, landed maybe a dozen smallies. Nothing over 4lbs or picture worthy lol. Caught a couple shit heads too. Was nice to fish barefoot today
Got out for a couple days with Nate on LSC. Nonstop E winds and dirty water made it tough, but we found em. Nate’s first trip there, he’s hooked. Most fish were in 6-8’, water clarity didn’t seem to make a huge difference. Mostly 3-4 pounders with a couple just shy of 6#. Small swimbaits, jerkbaits and dropshots were the deal. Hoping to get one more trip up there before they spawn, but my schedule is packed tight til mid June. Couple eyes, shitheads and pike in the mix too.
Yesterday was the first time I have been on the water in several years. Hard to find better inland lake Saugeye fishing than we had yesterday. Two limits of quality fish casting for them by lunchtime. Biggest is 21", smallest kept was just under 17". We boated another dozen or so smaller Saugeye and some bonus jumbo panfish as well. We eating cheeks tonight.
