North central - nothing moving yet this morning. Winds gusting up to 30. Yee haw. I'm in a killer spot, but they must be belly crawling past me to stay out of this wind. Where I'm from we call this a tropical depression when it blows this hard.

I think its starting here in crawford. Seen 2 so far this morning. The first was before light and I couldn't see well enough to tell which one it was, but it was big. The second came through about 7:00. Small six. Nose to the ground headed toward a doe bedding area.

Dad had a giant hit the scrape he is watching. Giant button buck...lol.. Said he sniffed it for a couple minutes.. I'm TOO comfy in my blind chair, keep trying to doze off...

still dead by me. I can see a very long way and haven't seen a buck cruising or even a deer for that matter. This is rough..

Had a small buck cruise by last night after 5. He hit my scent and did what they normally do, but then angled away. Got directly in line and blew out of there. First bad experience with smoke. That was an all day sit though so maybe it wore off, who knows. What I do know is this wind is ruining my week. Bad direction and way to much. This is going to be a bad rut for me, I just know it.

I've been seeing lots of bucks cruising and chasing including some studs. The wind has been a killer on my ridge top set ups.

I was on a ridge top today and got down at 9. I really don't feel compelled to kill a big buck that bad. My tree was bobbing and weaving like a prize fighter. It didn't help that I saw a 120" 8 give a 2.5 star effort after two does this morning. Once I was hungry and tired of the wind, we grabbed breakfast and went on a drive. Saw a 135-140" 8 at 10 that looked liked he got busted out by someone. Seen a 145" 10 just standing on the edge of a field at 11. I was driving about 30 and he was 200 yards away. I drove past, slammed on the brakes, back up and sure enough it was a buck.!

It's gearing up around here. I'll sit all day tomorrow regardless. Just didn't have it in me today and I'm past hunting just to hunt.

What's the report for muskingum guys?

I'm headed there now for the next 7 days. The old man wasn't fond of hunting the property by cinci even though we have 3 shooters there for sure. Long story. Don't wanna get into it lol just trying to make the best of my time with him.

True story. Sucks going from private prop to public but I don't question him. He only gets a week to hunt out here so I'll do what he wants. Doesn't mean I won't wack a doe tomorrow tho lol

I didn't hunt tonight due to my heart not being in it. We drove around and saw over 40 does tonight and only 3 bucks. Very little sign of a rut.

Saw a buck cruising this morning nose to the ground. Saw two bucks chasing 3 does tonight and later had a 4pt come thru nose to ground. Seeking/chasing phase is in full effect right now. I am sure there are a handful in lockdown already, but there is some exciting events to witness in the woods right now!
