Didn't see a thing this morning .. Winds are gusting pretty good and lots of train traffic might have some of the cause... Had that damn yote under my stand again.... That little sob has too die.... Usually have some deer movement before 9 just not today.....

They aren't gonna stay bedded down forever. If you were in what you believe to be your best spot, that's the place to be tonight! Good luck!

I have hope in Allen county. Saw 2 different year and half bucks cruising this morning. Had a nice buck dogging 2 does midday like he wanted to kill them. It was as intense if chasing as you could imagine. First all day sit of year. Crossing my fingers they move early and drag some big boys out.

my buddy in Morgan has activity, they shot a nice 9 last night with trash, 13 total. I'm about 15 miles away in muskingum on state land and zero rut activity. saw two bucks the first night, the yearling was cruising, no surprise. The 2.5, nothin. Saw nothing yesterday, sat all day. Saw the 2.5 again today while scouting, again he was up to nothing. I've had zero response to any calling... My hopes are not up. Only positive is I know I won't see another hunter back here!

Switch has flipped at least on one property I hunt. Cruising young bucks. Seriously intense chasing midday. By evening, the chasing had ended and our buck friend was courting the doe he had been intensely chasing earlier. I thought I was going to witness deer porn live and in person. It really was awesome to witness. Just ran out of daylight.

Central ohio. Saw two dinks burning up the cut corn field tonight. They were running from one end to the other trying to cut the scent of a doe.

LOTS of deer moving all day today in NW Ohio. Mostly 1.5 yr old bucks, though... I did see a couple in the 120-135 range but most were all dinks. Most bucks were seeking but 2 bucks were hot on the trail of does. It's heating up!

J, it isn't going to be long for you. Those does will get right in a few days, and when they do you'll be in business!

warren county here, just last two days starting seeing deer moving around on my way to work. Went out and sat all day in couple different places today. Saw a spike and two does come right by me, Brother in law on same farm had an 8 pt walk by him at 830 this am, cousin had a buck cruising by and a doe. Pulled trail cam cards I put in Tuesday evening. Up to that point I was only getting 3 or 4 pics a week of couple does or small hatracked buck. Todays pics from tuesday nite until noon today, had 5 or 6 different nice bucks on the cam at different times of the day and nite. Finally got a couple pics of the One I have been chasing for the last two years...See my post of 10/31/12 called The Boss. He has shrunk a bit but still pretty massive. Probably in the mid 160s now vs the 180 range last year. Good activity all the sudden. Gonna do an all day tomorrow in the stand. THinking Warren county is about to bust open with the sudden increase in nice Buck activity. Wooo Hoooo :)

Saw same spike and broken 4 point tonight. Just came through looking for food and then moved on. At dark left and as I was driving up the lane, a huge 8 was checking scrapes and looking like he was hot on the trail of something. That's good news. First, I didn't know he was still alive (saw him on trailcam only once and second, maybe that means things will pick up tomorrow!
