You might be off the track. Of where you last seen the blood at. I did same thing last year and doe was laying 20 feet from me and I didn’t see her that night and found her next morning. Prolly just need to figure out which way it went and look for blood and twigs broken signs

If a deer doesn't die by 200 yrds it probably needs a lot of time to die if it's going to. A guy one lunged one this week watch him go 400 yrds lay down with his head up for 15mins. He gave it an hr before getting him. Tough as hell. Hope u find it.

Six inches of penetration isn't a lot. I'm with J. Probably didn't reach opposite shoulder. Would have likely broken arrow. If he was on a straight course. . . If blood stopped. . . start walking circles around last blood. He may have gotten Wobbly there and started veering off his one direction.
