You might be off the track. Of where you last seen the blood at. I did same thing last year and doe was laying 20 feet from me and I didn’t see her that night and found her next morning. Prolly just need to figure out which way it went and look for blood and twigs broken signs

I go at a track thinking "It's GOT TO BE HERE SOMEWHERE!" And I exhaust all resources until there is nowhere else to look.

If a deer doesn't die by 200 yrds it probably needs a lot of time to die if it's going to. A guy one lunged one this week watch him go 400 yrds lay down with his head up for 15mins. He gave it an hr before getting him. Tough as hell. Hope u find it.

Yea I knew it was gonna rain last night so I tracked him until about 930

Six inches of penetration isn't a lot. I'm with J. Probably didn't reach opposite shoulder. Would have likely broken arrow. If he was on a straight course. . . If blood stopped. . . start walking circles around last blood. He may have gotten Wobbly there and started veering off his one direction.

Blood like that, even close to that for 800yds, it should be dead. Almost like it's coming out both sides and dripping off

Angle was probably steeper than you think and only got one lung. Could have always double back and cut off the main trail. Friend shot one last week and we 550 yards on a one lung hit. Should be a dead deer.

Very thick in there I’m calling it a day been grid searching hunched over for hours am gonna get some friends together for a search tomorrow I checked the creek and both ponds
