I wish I wasn’t. After doing some reading, maybe I shouldn’t be letting my wife handle my meat.

This was self induced by not using proper warm up or shut down procedures. Or a “flameout” condition. I didn’t realize it shit down and she restarted it. Just a few minutes afterwards I heard the bang.

Be warned guys. If your pellet grill has a flameout, you need to clear the flame chamber before restarting it. I’m considering this as being lucky. My house didn’t get burned down on Easter 2020.
