Little over 200. 40 is fenced in with cattle. Another 40 is pretty hard to access and he didn’t venture that way.

Couldn't do it. Just didn't feel right.
Button stood up at 45yd heading back in he wouldnt run. i walked away to set up. Doe and fawn came by in some thick stuff after sitting. The button came back by. Another hunter walked on by with 45mins left. That ment he walked all the cover in that mile and i was at the end of his loop. Took him all day but managed to hit it all....
Sounds like the fella needs to tend a smoker all day or something. Give him a job everyone can appreciate that keeps him busy.
Skunked again. Didn't see a single deer all day and only missed about an hour of hunting. Mixed feelings about it. @cotty16 is right though, Levi is the smart one. I'm whooped.

A day in the woods with no deer is still better than work. On public tomorrow. Drove by after work this evening and there was 2 trucks. Hopefully there wasn't much pressure today.

Bumped 2 scouting an area that I anticipated them to be bedded in. No shot opportunities. Had one hiss at me at last light. Randog (@swantucky) started the Silverado truck bed tally this afternoon. Spending my paycheck on lattes and keno now. Let’s make some piles bois.
I drove from Warsaw to Coshocton to Lordstown town and back today taking the back roads and I saw 5 hunters total. There were some trucks parked on state ground and a few here and there....but there was no one hunting. Zero deer seen. that was after sitting for 2 hrs this morning and hearing a total of 17 shots. None remotely close to me.

Heard one person shoot this morning. I did hear 4-5 people shoot tonight. Drove Cridersville to St Mary's and back (20min on highways.) Saw a group of 5 guys lined up to push a woods. Saw a couple other random orange blobs along the interstate. People hunting in Allen and Auglaize for sure.

Went out this morning just for the tradition of opening day. Very little distant shooting but I had a morning I woulda killed to have 15 years ago. Had chip shots on 3 does and two 130 class 4yr olds 5 minutes apart. I couldn't buy that scenario growing up lol. Feels good beating them at their own game.

I hunted all day. Took a 20 minute break at the truck for coffee. It was a great day. Nothing to do but look around the woods. I did see about 20 deer too. One slammer buck but not the one I was looking for and he only had half a rack left.
Good luck to anyone taking another unpaid day off of work. I'm gonna be productive.

Settled in. Wind is good. Didn’t bump anything on the hike in I don’t think. My dad is sleeping in so I’m in his stand again. Not sure what the afternoon will bring, will likely sit over a bottom that I’ve had luck in the past at. Good luck to anyone else out.

Well, I either just found a barn raising or a Yoder family reunion! Damn Amish. Must've been 30 or more! Groups of 3 or 4 spread out for about 3/4 of a mile. Screw this. Headed to find another piece of public. Gonna be a late start but still better than work!
