Ended up going to Madison Wisconsin and working out way back home via the UP. This was just before we crossed into Michigan. Staying in Iron Mountain tonight before heading on down RT2 to cross the Big Mac.

Thanks fellas. I figured we needed the extra long way home from Madison. Had to make the trip for my SIL funeral. We hit the road right after the lunch and the wife was the only one to change clothes. Me and the boy still in our service clothes. Turned out to be a very long drive home but I think it helped alot seeing the sights and all the wildlife. Never really thought about it much but our wildlife numbers suck. I seen more deer and turkey in Wisconsin and Michigan in the fields and standing on the roads then I have here in about 15+ years.

I've yet to see a turkey this year feeding or strutting in ANY field on my travels!

Glad you had a safe trip. Sorry for the loss though!

Was just outside cleaning up a little before running to an appointment when I heard my first gobble of the year. Kinda made me step back and think for a minute and I snapped a couple pics. Then I remembered this thread and how I enjoyed it.

Nice pics Dave!!!

Found a patch of ramps while shed hunting last week. Joe says to hold off a couple weeks or so before digging them.

The younger ramps taste better than the older series if eating raw Ric.
Less potent.
A wise old man offered me that recommendation before.
