Postal employee get rich quick scheme

Happens more than you think. The company my wife works for had a check stolen they sent to an equipment company. Then someone washed it and got duplicates made. When they spoke to the business they've had that problem numerous times over the years and said it has to be someone at USPS.
 
Just out of curiosity how does postal salaries work? Like is the pay scale the same for everyone nation wide or does it vary by region etc?
 
It’s probably regionalized, they’ll do a pay audit every so often and make adjustments as needed.
When I was working it was based in the Cleveland area. Although it could just as easily been Pittsburgh as well.
 
Growing up, Postal worker jobs in small town Ohio were always highly coveted and were employed by respectable individual. Same could be said for firefighters, police and teachers, I imagine the bigger the city gets the larger the cost of living gap becomes and leads to sketchier employees. This typically holds up in a lot of government jobs
