Why push it? Gonna need it anyways. What if something happens in the middle of the night and you gotta go? (Maybe I’m a little more rural than most...hmm)
When my light comes one, I can go another 75+ miles easily. Trust me, I know with all the road trips I taken across the country with it.
To NYC and back I'll fill up twice, once on the way there and once when I get out of that city even when it's not even close to being empty. When I get home in Ross County, I'll have nearly a half a tank left and that's a 1,250 mile round trip for me.

I just ran mine until 35 miles until empty LOL. Fugg you Rita, I mean, Dave...
Also, I always prepay so I don't have it shut off on me at the pump. This also prevents card reader theft at the pump. We had several gas stations near me that had card reader theft devices installed by criminals.

Your a little ocd. I get the fill it up at half, I usually do. I have a big enough tank that I can price shop while evaluating my fuel level. Most times it works out. Usually going to the camp...222 miles I can see what towns have the lowest price and fill up at the cheapest one on way back.
Not quite as bad as that...but once it gets under 1/4 tank I start getting antsy. I can count on one hand the number of times the light has come on. And every damn time it was my gf's fault. The light makes me stop at the very next place and get it filled. I don't care if its 50 cents more expensive.

You over thinking it buddy. Use the size of your tank to your advantage. You planning on a civil war soon? Best if you stay off the roads if so. You’d be like the dumb spike walking out in the food plot all day lol
I am using it to my advantage, my wife thinks everything I drive gets horrible mileage 
Fuck. I gotta agree with Dave. My wife always has the gas light on in her car, with the hope that I'll be the one having to pump it. Kills me. I rarely go below a half tank in the Ranger (yes I drive a Ranger). And I always keep enough fuel in the Jeep in case a few us need an ER run or something

I’ve been pushing it lately. Waiting until the light comes on before filling up. I have a credit card specifically for fuel, if’n I’m stopping for fuel it’s a fill up....

Dave... As an added precaution you should also carry a 5 gal. Container full at all times in the back of your truck... Let's say you see a TOO member out of gas...
