I don't pump my own gas... One of the few good things about New Jersey... But I always tell the attendant to keep going after pump shuts off... Always get an extra dollar or two to go in... Otherwise drive away and gauge is on 3/4...

Done it when I paid cash. Don’t do it any longer since I use a credit card. What pisses me off is some stations will limit your credit card to 99$. The other day it did it to me at 75$. I will not put fuel in and not fill it up so I had to do the whole process over again. Sometimes it will decline me at the same pump. I’m guessing the credit card company is limiting their exposure thinking it might be stolen. Or they have a 15 minute wait before you can use it again. At 2.50+ a gallon for diesel and having a 49 galling tank, it can be aggravating.

This is going to start an entire different thing for me...who lets the tank get so empty it’ll take $100?! I can’t stop looking at the gauge once it reaches half a tank. 1/4 tank...NOPE! I’d freak out!!! Gas light...cardiac arrest...I’m out, can’t take it.

Well I normally don’t but, if I know I can buy it at 2.55 wtf would I pay 2.80 and over 3$ just to fill up half a tank. I made a 600 mile round trip and still had 175 miles till “empty” which isn’t close to empty. I don’t like giving my hard earn money away when I don’t have to.

I average around 600 miles a tank depending on what I'm hauling. My truck is never empty and if it was, depending on the cost of diesel, my truck can handle easily a $120+ of fuel.

And I'l add,,,

7.3(444 cu.in.)Turbo Diesel two wheel drive with nearly a quarter of a million miles and still runs strong!

You're like my freaking wife. 1/4 tank and she's in panic mode. I know exactly how far i can push it once the light comes on.
