It is possible. We were going over what happened pre shot and post loading. I think he had aimed the bow down before the shot so the bolt may have dropped from being seated fully against the string. Thats the only thing we can come up with. Damn newbies...

Most of those bows won't come off saftey if the bolt isn't all the way back

Stupid question, but is it possible that the nock wasn't seated all the way back on the rail? Seems like the nock got hammered in like a nail?

They have different diameter inserts that the knock locks into I believe the insert is too small for the arrow shaft diameter

Most will still fire if it'd just off the string a little. I always double check the seat. I've had some fliers before if not seated all the way.

We shot out to 50 yards today. Surprisingly accurate. I honestly didnt have very high expectations. Im a believer now.
