Just downgraded to a level 2, but turnpike is still closed between Sandusky (Rt250) and Fremont (Rt53). Looks like the pile ups made national news, as the OTP one pushed 50 vehicles when all said and done. 4 people lost their lives
Glad I went out to check on boiler a half hour ago, not much of anything left since 7:15 this morning. Dang thing is eating wood right now! Here’s a pic of what my full firebox looks like after filling. Water temperature around 175-180 when cranking its best.
And. . . .the melt is happening, 40s, 50s, 60 are on the way, and I'm nervous about what is going to follow these warm temps. Is it a reward for the brutal conditions we just endured or will we pay for it with some nasty storms? Second half of January and February should be interesting.
