That’s my point, I don’t feel bad for these guys. I’m all for farming and small family farms, but just like many of us, we’ve struggled to make ends meet at times. The threat of not making it isn’t bothering everyone...I was behind this brand spanking new unit yesterday.

Notice the guy with the real struggle is between us in an old dodge Dakota that’s falling apart. Or is he the farmer I remember that held onto things until they were no longer useful...

Most farmers defer good portions of what they sell out a couple years anyway, just for piss poor times like this supposedly. Damn near every farmer that's above a small time hobbey farmer does this as far as I know

The farmers I know are probably closer to being hobby farmers than any mega farm owners. They make a living farming but do so with sweat and grease under their nails. They run older equipment, most don't use crop insurance, and none have paid employees. I don't wish ill will on these guys. No different than not wishing ill will on any of us due to the weather. Doesn't mean I am okay with higher prices. Just means I feel bad for my neighbors and members of our church in this position.
