If it ever stops...we will see the midge again. I know my area doesn’t need it! Did a drive the other evening and counted 6 deer...pathetic

I was at Kroger’s with my wife the other day and some dude lost his shit completely over me not having a cigarette he could buy. I laughed in his face and kept walking. Came back out of the store and the cops were talking to him...showed him one finger and he freaked out again. Weird
I exaggerated. I took a drive Tuesday around my "base" hunting areas. It may be less than 10%. Nothing, and I mean nothing planted, around any of my stands☹

mabey you should become a teacher .I'm getting killed by the weather. I've lost almost 8 weeks of exterior painting to the weather. looking better next week, but with a finite amount of days before the snow flies, I'm pretty well fucked now. worst stretch of wet I've ever seen. epic. won't be any new Sitka gear in my closet this season
It sure will be interesting to see what the property we hunt a week on every fall looks like in a few months. It's at the top of a ridge with only one corn field nearby. There is one area that was washed out last year and took down a few big trees (not a lot of big trees on the property). I have to imagine it is only worse now.
Saw last week that Lake Erie is 33 inches above average and 7 degrees cooler than normal. We went to Cedar Point the other day and it was quite a bit colder than 30 minutes south.

no thanks. too dangerous and don't have the patience for it. I'm pretty close to selling my tools and letting a teacher take care of me, though. I'm ok with being a poor, kept, man of leisure.
