Random weather thread

We have ongoing threads about a lot of things, but weather not being one of them, so I thought I'd start one. As we are all outdoorsman type of people, weather plans a big roll in that.

What a mild winter we've had! I could use a few more deep freezes to help kill off bugs. But WTF is this crap we have today? 60* wind blowing and thunderstorms! With a chance of snow tomorrow...

Promised my kids I'd take them Crappie fishing this weekend. We will see how many times they change that forecast before it gets here.

I'm not ready for that yet. I need snow and 20° temps for at least a month before that.

Yes!

It had to be in the last two weeks at a spot down the road. I'll examine more closely next drive by. I'm pretty damn sure they where already filling

I don't think any rain storm has missed us in a month and we got hammered again today. The swamp is at capacity lol. One of my ladder stands has water over the first step

I hate it. I want to take my kids out to play in the snow. We've been out once and there was like an inch on the ground. It turned into a muddy mess. Makes me want to move North.

Its still raining a little north of you Chad. My neighbor's pond is over capacity and is now running across ground on my front couple acres. No wonder I can't get my persimmon and blue spruce to grow. They always drown.

Yeah we were tick free after checking them Saturday but had a couple on the girls from Zack's place yesterday ...
I carry a fine tooth comb and give them the once over with it.... Pulls out fleas, ticks and briars that are on them....
