The secret is safe with me!

Might as well share our secret so the rest can get a laugh out of my displeasure. Cat is out of the bag. Tried to keep it discrete with my wifey. "Got to work ground tomorrow." "Going to spend the day in the skid loader working." Danced around it without giving myself away. Made it to the campground where her and the kids were staying over the weekend at 10pm last night. Sitting around the campfire after kids were asleep and she asks me "So where was this big job you had to work on this weekend?" Oh fudge. Didn't want to say but I won't lie to my wife. When she found out I was working ground for food plots she just got up and went to bed. Poured another one and enjoyed the campfire. . . . alone. lmao

Great reading these updates Don! Enjoy the getaway. Cabin looks great. Bears sound like they are primed and ready for you! Have a safe and successful hunt brother!

We got about two hours until stand time. I went for a stroll down the lane that leads to our cabin this morning and got some pictures. The scenery is beautiful here. One of the guys in camp went out this morning and our guide went to pick him up just a few minutes ago. He has hunted here before and Ron said it was fine for him to go out this morning but he preferred the rest of us make our first trip in in the daylight. It poured the rain down this morning from 4:00-6:30 and now has cleared up a lot and is supposed to be sunny and a high of 73 for the remainder. Hopefully I will have some hero shots for y'all later on but for now scenery shots will have to do. Thanks to all for the good luck wishes and I'm thinking today is just as good a day as any to make it happen.

No bear today. I was in a great looking spot and my guide said the beats had been going through 40-60 pounds of bait every two days. In gonna hunt it in the morning and see if I can catch one making its rounds then. There is an unbelievable amount of sign in there and I know its just a matter if putting in the stand time and I will get my opportunity. Gonna make it short and sweet tonight. Just got outta the woods about 15 minutes ago and we gotta pick up another hunter and get a bite to eat. More updates to come tomorrow.

Oh I'm definitely enjoying my time and the scenery. The bugs aren't horrible but they are pretty much unrelenting. I'm covered from head to toe in camo so I'm not getting bit at all, that is unless I forget to tuck something in.
Getting up at 4:00 in the morning to shower and head out so I better get some sleep.
