Hate to see him shut down mid season, glad he’s not worse, and happy he may be in action for the Super Bowl of squirrel hunting.

A lot on yer plate right now... yer OK.Lol, DUH! I should have known that.
I'm very proud of Slick. He has been super good with his foot. He is a high energy dog but has done a good job of relaxing, not licking or chewing his foot and taking the meds. He does not like the cone of shame one little bit, lol. I swear he knows that we are back in the woods as soon as he is healed up. I have kept a boot on his foot whenever we go outside, which he hates, but puts up with it. We have gone for several leashed walks, and yesterday I let him off of the lead and he was like a kid in a candy store. I suppose the timing could have been worse as we had to take these four days off anyhow. His foot looks great and has healed up really well. I'm taking him to the vet on Tuesday (day 14) to remove sutures and make sure we are good to go. Back to work next week, I hope.

There is a nice bike path on the way to the vet, so we stopped on the way home for some fresh air. Slick could not wait until tomorrow, lol. Got himself a double at the bike path.
