So I swapped target faces on the range bag a few days ago, and ever since, my shooting had become very erratic. Mostly lateral misses left and right, which I usually do not have. This pic was on the end of the 1st day with the new face, I think. You can see my "full choke" grouping had become an "improved cylinder."
I went out this morning...more of the same. Erratic left and right. Not enough to miss deer, but plenty to go from a vital hit to a gut shot. I walked away from the morning shooting pretty pissed with myself. I went back out after lunch, and this time shot the 18-in-1 with a Stinger broadhead...and here's shot 1.
I shot roughly 20-ish broadhead shots and had one of them that didn't cut the yellow circle (and it was close). The majority of them were inner black, inside the yellow. I didn't change anything, form wise. Same draw, same anchor, same hook on the string. I'm not sure if it's something optically I don't like with the target face or what. It definitely felt good to throw broadhead after broadhead where I wanted it.
