Tablet ?

Yep, that's the plan.... I guess I'm looking for the pros and cons of going with a apple format versus a droid....

Just like a phone, there are people who love both and hate both. I've been really impressed with the sales folks at Best Buy lately. I don't buy there, unless it's heavily on sale it seems like you can beat 'em with Amazon or elsewhere, but it is a great place to look.

J, I gotta ask, why are you concerned with a camera on a tablet? What kind of pictures do you plan on taking with it? Reason I ask is because they will be the same as just about any decent smart phone with picture quality. Great close range photos, and great in good light, but grainy in low light.

Do you have a smart phone now?

Greg I'm trying too limit all the things I can too one item.... This way I can take pictures and upload them just like my iPhone..... We're restricted from uploading any pictures on anything other Han our own devices.... So a tablet would be all inclusive so too say....

"j",
I gave my wife a Verizon Ellipsis 7, which has a 7" screen. It's bigger than the "Note", which is an oversized cell phone, but it's smaller than a laptop. It does everything except make phone calls. It was free during the Black Friday sale days, so you might be able to work out a deal of some kind with a Verizon Store.

P.S. I have an iPhone 4 and couldn't throw it hard enough into a brick wall. I hate anything that has an "i" in front of it, can't wait to get out of the contract and will RUN to an android smart phone as soon as I can.

Yeah that's how I was with my iPhone at first... Setup is a pain in the butt..... But I'm used too it now and my droid doesn't seem much better now that I've been away from it for almost a year now.... I guess you can get accustomed too almost anything lol

I just bought the wife an iPad for her birthday and she loves it. But, the reason she loves it is because it's very much like her iPhone. No new programs to learn, same shortcuts, and it has a decent camera but again it's just like her iPhone. If you're ready to throw your iPhone against a wall you wanna look at a different tablet. A few of my buddies have the Galaxy Tab and they love it. I love the iPad but I like my iPhone TOO.

We have an ipad. It was a gift. My fiances mom won it, and gave it to us. It has gotten very little use.

My iphone is smaller, but just as powerful when on a wifi network.

Sorry J. Didn't read your post correctly. You said at first with throwing your iPhone against a wall. I got the wife the iPad mini. It is just like a big version of her iPhone.

iPads are fine for surfing but that is about it. I am on an iPad as I type this and it is only good for FB, YouTube, forums, general surfing... I only have the iPad as it was a deal and the girls can use it easily.

If I were to buy a new tablet it would be a Surface. Microsoft programs like office and it has card reader and USB ports. Trying to use an iPad for work is a joke.
