phpUi4ZTNPM.jpgphptsTIIuPM.jpgphprHB1NDPM.jpgMade it out last wednesday and freshened a mock scrape and had a nice 7 pointer hang around and then hit the scrape just before dark.Passed on him at 30 yds. When i checked the cam i had me putting lure on the limbs him working it and then me leaving.Pretty cool.Made it out Sunday morning and saw a few does and passed on one buck.Plan on making it out the next 2 evenings and Saturday morning and Sunday evening.

I know that I'd pull the trigger on that one, Boarhead. It'll be interesting to see if anyone else starts hitting that scrape!

Hoping to hunt Saturday.

I'd call that a real scrape now and not a mock one! Looks good...several that I'd probably shoot. That second to last unbalanced one tickles my trigger finger!

LOL.I was thinking that same thing on the mock scrape guess we can just call it a scrape now.LOL Here is some pic's from this summer on that big one.The Split Brow Buck

I'd shoot the shit out of that buck...and then spoon him real good in the leaves...

Heres a quick story and a few pics of my hunt from 10/18. I was drawn in a lottery to hunt our local nature preserve for a two week block oct 12-25. This is a doe first hunt (to reduce overbrowse on wildflowers and endangered plant species in the preserve). Obviously, my goal during this two week stretch was to take a doe as I was also drawn for a two day gun hunt and late season archery. I finally was able to locate some deer activity after not being able to find any acorns. I was seeing a few deer at a distance and decided to move in on them the evening of the 18th. I had a spike come in at 6:15 followed by a doe at 6:30. She busted me drawing on her at 5 yards, I have no cover being in my climber. She blew and ran out to 40 yards before turning to look at me. I decided to go ahead and take the shot and it paid off. My farthest and most risky shot as a bowhunter. 50 yard recovery.
