Thanks guys.... back out for the evening hunt been here for 2 hours nothing moving yet.... on a different farm letting the other place calm down from this mornings festivities..... lots of buck sign here but appear too be mostly nocturnal so far....

Well saw one lone doe after legal shooting time, nothing else came through and nothing following her....

Finally got over to my inlaws to hunt tonight. Got in late right after work. Took my climber to the corner of a standing corn field. Jumped a small buck on the way in. As soon as I got to the height I wanted I heard another deer coming through. couldn't tell what it was. Around 5 a small doe makes her way left to right at 50 yards and beds down to my right. 20 minutes later I hear a grunt. That little buck I spooked was back and onto this doe. He bumped her from her bed and she was having nothing to do with him. They wandered off out of sight. At 6 pm I "can" called three times. 10 minutes later I hear a deer coming. From my left a pretty nice 8 point made his way through. Never presented a shot and was a tad too far to boot. He was real wide and had good brows. No mass really and average tine length. He escaped out of reach. At last light he came back and stood at 60 yards. As he was standing there two more deer busted through right past him and he followed suit. Couldn't tell if they were buck or doe. Really happy with the hunt I had and I left my climber there to hunt it again Friday tentatively.

Well, harvest is in full force now so I may get 1 sit in a week the rest of bow season. 2 mornings ago Iwatched a stud running a doe all around the field from atop our silo's. I love to go up there around 8 a.m. to do measurements and watch all the deer move around the area. Worked 13 hours yesterday and driving home I about hit another giant buck standing right along the road. There were deer everywhere last night

Hit the stand again this morning.... Went too a stand about 300 yards from the one I took the doe out of yesterday and was slow until 0900 and a buck pushed a doe by at 40 yards, niether of them stopped just moved on through at a good clip.... about a half hour later a good size doe and two yearlings trotted past and down in front of me and none of them stopped either... They were spooky but didn't wind or act tlike I was there just seemed too be in a rush too get some where lol.... Heading out the door in a couple of minutes for the evening sit.... I'm looking forward to three straight all day sits. It's gonna be tough, but I think it'll pay off in the long run...

Well hit again this morning.... Left the truck went 50 yards and busted a buck (@ least it smelled like a buck.... that boy stunk bad) stayed put for 5 minutes and started the trek back too the stand which is about a half mile back in.... Got too within 100 yards of the stand and busted another deer... Now both of these deer didn't wind just heard something moving in and took off.... Sat on stand till 1115 and got down slow walk out on a differant path back too the truck and get within 50 yards of the truck an theres a small doe feeding by my truck.... WTH is she doing so I sat down and waited 10 minutes and let her feed away from the truck and get out of sight lol.... Weird day too say the least.... The wind was killer all morning till about 10 then laid down a little.... Taking the noight off to spend time with my wife going out too dinner then back at it for the weekend....

Skunked again today..... 8.5 hrs on stand and not a single deer in sight, my buddy was in the front side of the property and he was there until 9:30 and got called into work.... Nothing for him as well.... Baffled..... I'd run the numbers but I'd just get depressed rotflmao.....

Well another 7 hour sit... But the good news I didn't get skunked tonight :smiley_depressive: Right before I got down a 4 point tried too sneak by at about 40 yards..... He did a good job and I let him go... I'm notthat hard up yet..... rotflmao Pulled cards today and man I'm depressed some does and a bunch of littl fork horns and basket rack 6's and 8's.... most were 1.5 YO bucks and does.... Don't know wha ttoo think at this point lol... Oh well I'm going too hunt it like there's a 140 class cruising by everyday rotflmao.....

Managed a sit Saturday afternoon. Had 2 different bucks under me at 12 yards and seen a monster heading towards the stand as I was leaving early. Headed out out and let Nate know that he fugged up by not being in that stand. He decided to stay the night and hunt that stand Sunday. I'll let him finish the story:smiley_coolpeace: 75 hours worked since Monday. My ass is dragging. Unless we get more rain this week, it'll be close too that many again

Well hunted a creek crossing tonight, lots of tracks and rubs everywhere.... Other than the 7 squirells @ 10 ft away heading too the wood lot that was it lol.... The tree rats crossed the creek and all headed right in fornt and behind ne lol.... Little fuggars never knew I was there.... Scent smoker you gotta love it lol... The one thing is they were pulling off the beans about 400 yards away so that may be why no deer sightings tonight.... I have a good feeling about this place.... Hopefully I have some good sightings shortly I'm coming up on a 100 hours on stand lol.....

It has been slow all around for the most part. If there is something to this whole "rutting moon" and Charlie called it right this year, then I'll not be TOO worried going in to the weekend. It seems the rut gets later and later around here. I can't recall a slower stretch of hunting than what I've been through lately. Just have to keep after it!

I'm with Jessie. I'll depress us all if a talk about hours in the stand vs. deer seen in the last five days! I gotta feelin though. It is gonna happen. Got an all day sit tomorrow and I'm gonna see if I can get it done for us.

Been watching that a little this year. Seems to support what I've been seeing, so I guess it's the Gospel!!! LOL!!!
