I like it so far, I really haven't had a chance yet to say for sure it helped me out, but I like the way the smoke covers everything. I take my boots and turn them upside down over the smoke and fill the inside of them with smoke.....the inside of your boots is a place that carries a lot of bad odors.

That's what I do as well the wife thinks I'm crazy :smiley_clap: But what the heck it can't hurt right???? Did you use it last night as well? If so that buck being down wind from you probably proved it a little..... Well at least made you feel a whole lot better lol...

Gern and Joe -- You guys are gettin' close. Good to hear. Adam shot another doe if you have't already seen it on the harvest page! Way to go.

I hunted Friday Saturday and Tuesday, and saw a mess of does, but only one buck, a five point. It has to break loose out east/south east here sometime soon. I freakin' pulled a muscle in my lower back Monday probably because I worked in the yard all weekend. I can draw my bow, but am stuck using ladder and hand-on stands for now. Still have some good setups, but will need my buddies to drag that big buck for me, hehe.

Boone get that back better man! This weekend is going to be a good one after this cold front and rain moving through!

Gern stay after that guy, it's just a matter of time. I couldn't pass up another opportunity to fill a tag on the first of 5 straight days of hunting :) I was able to take off Wed-Friday this week, LONG overdue!!

I'll be hitting the stand this evening and tomorrow morning here at home. I took this AM off with the weather, getting some shit done around the house, then it's southbound and down to Jessie's place after tomorrow mornings hunt to hunt all weekend. THe goal this year is tag out if possible, it's been a LONG time since the freezer was full:smiley_cheers:

I hunted last evening and there had been a little rain here the night before and yesterday morning.....while walking into the stand there were a set of HUGE tracks that were fresh along the fencerow and in the scrapes......He had been there during the day yesterday to freshen them up......had to be, because it was still raining yesterday morning.

It has been raining here since last night again and it looks like the rain is going to be gone about 3pm today! I fully expect to see a buck or 2 tonight come in out of the corn before dark to freshen up the scrapes....hopefully big boy is one of them.

I had a buck come in within 3 yards of my stand tonight again, right at dark....just ready to lower the bow and already took off my release and put the quiver back on the bow and here he comes....

I don't think it was a very big racked buck though from what I could make of it.

Last weekend i thought the same thing... Till he walked up in a field about 45 yards away and went for a licking branch showing me his 150 class rack. lol

Hunted this morning....just got back in. At first light I had 2 coyotes running around within 50 yards of me. I didn't see a deer until about 9:00 and then I saw deer for 2 hours straight. Ended up seeing 2 small 8 points and 3 does.

Hope to be heading back to the fencerow stand tonight.

I haven't seen shit the last 3 evening sits......yesterday morning I sat in the stand where I killed my 10 pointer on halloween last year. At about 9:00 straight up I hear footsteps coming from my left, then I hear a buck pawing a scrape.....I stood up and got the bow and got ready just incase it was a good one......about 30 seconds later I see him coming along the edge of the woods right to me....clipped on the release and got ready to draw because he was closing fast. He got within 25 yards and I could see it was a real nice 8 pointer with 10"G-2's and 8" G-3's, and short brow tines and about a 16" spread......not quite what I was looking to shoot just yet so I let him go....a good solid 130 class 8 pointer I would say. He has great genetics and is a deer that I would like to see next year.

Sounds like the calm before the storm Chad. Keep at them you know somethings in there and it's only a matter of days until it busts loose.

I sat Saturday morning and ended up seeing 15... Had 1 buck and 4 does in range. Saw a couple young bucks dogging does out in the cut corn. Saturday evening I only saw 1 Button buck.. Sunday morning a couple scrubs and some does.

I took Sunday evening to get prepared for my Vacation that starts next weekend. I pulled my mobile stand so I can have it on standby in the event i need to move quick.. Checked 1 cam that had been out since Wednesday, no shooters so I moved it over a ginormous scrape that wasn't there last Wednesday.. Dumped a Rubbermaid tote that I had full of corn and hung a cam on it. Scouted a few spots out on the property to see if there was any sign like new rubs or scrapes. And spent the evening perched atop a hill with binos overlooking a cut corn field that my rut killing stand is beside.

I hunted Friday night and only saw two does after the sun set. It was the least amount of deer I have seen this fall. Pulling out of the driveway there were half a dozen does in someone's front yard, but no bucks. All my "big" bucks are still mostly nocturnal according to my cameras. I hope that changes this week. I have a good morning seeking/chasing phase spot and hope to get out a few mornings before work later in the week.

Well the weekend was a good time at Jesse's, but you can see by reading his posts, there was not much action. I had a 7pt 30yrds broadside, but obeyed his wishes to let the litte ones walk:)

I hunted Monday back home, and had 2 small does (yes, smaller than the dogs I've already stuck lol!!) hang out for about 20mins but nothing else. I will be hunting all weekend and hope things pick up. My camera has gone darn near blank after early last week when I had 3 new bucks on tape. Good luck guys.

I hunted Friday morning and saw three does. Had to get down to go to work, but one had bedded down in my shooting lane facing me at 10 yards, for half an hour. I put my quiver back on my bow, pulled up the rope, tied the bow on and lowered it down. She only jumped up when the bow hit the crunchy leaves! I haven't seen anything over 125 yet this year from stand.

I got skunked Friday evening.

I saw three small bucks this morning, all seeking with their noses to the ground. One was a basket eight that cruised by the trail right on front of me at 15 yards. Still no big ones...........

Went out agian this morning and had a big bodied buck at 20 yards just before shooting time chasing a doe and grunting the whole time. The doe looked half his size. I needed 5 more minutes to see my pins. I cann't catch a break this year. At 7:15 a tiny button buck came right down the trail. I can't get out again until Friday.
Congrats again Joe and good luck everybody else!:smiley_clap:
