Hell I hunt with a crossbow and I am a nonresident, (do own land) but I am the target of your wrath, and I don't give a crap. lol

Ha!

I'm a Non-resident that shot a dink buck on public land with a crossbow sitting at the base of a tree drinking a coke Cola. .

Here's the $75 for the tag. 😅

I've kept quiet this entire thread but feel like I need to add my two cents, for what it's worth. We, as outdoorsman and women, need to stick together and present a united front. We have enough antis and political enemies without arguing about which weapon should be banned and whether hunting over bait is ethical or not. No doubt there are antis ghosting this thread all along, no doubt taking notes. IMO, do what makes you happy. Hunt how you want to hunt, fish how you want to fish, trap how you want to trap. Take the next generation and let them develop their own opinions. That is all I have to say.

I know there will be some strong opinions on this topic, so pull on your big boy panties if you want to throw down on this conversation.
I mean, I told you to strap 'em on. It's more childish to get mad and go home over this thread than it is to participate IMO. This thread is an example of why this place IS great. It's been nothing but civil. Try that anywhere else but here.

We all got to hear different opinions, and we'll all be better off for having heard them. It helps us better articulate our own positions, and for me, helps me rethink some of my own opinions and perceptions. It's pretty easy to not click on this thread and it's really pretty easy to not let other people's opinions ruin your day. Please refer to the Epictetus quote again if this thread is a problem for you.

I just read this whole thread for the first time and all I can say is wowsers.. I used to get in these debates but I refuse to anymore nothing good comes out of it. honestly I couldnt give two shitts about how others hunt at all and I also couldnt care less how they feel about how I hunt. If I'm having fun doing what I love and putting meat in the freezer as an added bonus then I'm tickled pink and don't care what anyone else thinks about it 🤷

Tobacco has warning labels too...so that is like the weather excuse for deer numbers.

Not sure I follow that logic. But if you read the label on tobacco, use it, get cancer, and blame others, it was still a choice you made and not the fault of others, so, yeah, kinda proves my point 🤷
