Got this beast of a system installed. Very stressful! Messing with the water to the house and that set up isn't cheap! Double wammy. Had to plumb in all the shut offs to isolate the system for maintenance and I could still use the well water straight if needed.

Yeah thats a 200 gallon water heater! It is pretty old and I'll replace it with a tankless when it dies. They needed that size for the step in tub!

That sucker is going to be nice to soak in with the jets on after a long day!!

I'm going to pick up my ATVs this weekend. Apparently the supply of Hondas is very low. Plus the models I wanted are fairly odd and rare. Honda Rubicon 4x4 foot shift with power steering. I was able to find 1 locally and 1 in Illinois.

Wait. What? You were between a quad, side by side, tractor. . . I must've missed the "pair of ATV" post. 🤣

Have fun moving the water heater when it is time. Softener set up looks good. Thanks for keeping us posted. Been a fun ride.

I have a feeling a sawzall will be involved, a huge mess, and multiple pieces of water heater will be coming out!

Before I can get the tankless water heater, I need the panel/wiring upgraded. It only has 30 amp breakers for the water heater and those tankless take 50 amp.

The wife wants an ATV as well. Honda is just shipping what they ship at this point. No orders. The dealerships have no idea what they are getting in advance. Its got me worried about the supply. Better get both now while we can. She probably won't use it as much as me, so I consider it a back up!

I will need the tractor before spring so I have time. But for now, walking 3 garbage cans 300 feet up and down a steep driveway, plowing and spreading salt is on my radar. That first snow a couple weeks ago caught me by surprise!

I did another mod...I'm not too particularly proud of 😒 I can't believe I'm sharing this...

I bought 12 of those heavy duty shelves from Sam's Club and I had all the boxes in my basement. The basement is studded and I probably wont get around to dry walling for a good while. I'm going to be having contractors in the house and I don't want them seeing some of the stuff in the back part of the basement.

Maybe you see where I'm going with this...

Hillbilly drywall!!

Had to make brackets for the garage door rails. They were just sitting on that 2x6 loose and shifting around!! I couldn't figure out why the door was binding up at first. 🤪

If you have never used the Wago connectors, they are worth the extra $.

Very nice job cleaning up all those loose lines!!
Thanks! My OCD comes in handy sometimes. He had the rear garage door spliced in with the lights and lights running off of outlets. I know it can be done to save wire, but he had a lot of wasted wire in there. I pretty much rewired the whole dang garage. I used around 300 feet of Romex. And countless insulated cable tacks...OCD!

I'm working on getting the garage done before I can start cleaning up the shop. It has been a whole process of one thing leading to another. I still have so much to do. That car is close to a 5 year plan before it will be done. 😔 I just bought car dollies yesterday so it will be easier to tuck in the corner out of the way! 😄

Finished up the detached garage. New seals on both garage doors. I used 24 cans of Loctite door and window foam on all of the gaps and cracks. I didn't want to use the large gap one because I was afraid of over expansion and bowing of the metal. I have used the other brand of expanding foam and I can tell you Loctite is much denser with less voids. Much better. As I was wiring up the outlets a mouse came bouncing in through a corner gap! There were a ton of wasp nests and some signs of birds so I had to. No leaks now.

Put Iron Baltic skid plates and winch mount on the ATVs. They make a winch mount and quick detach snow plow mount all in one. They are in Estonia (the country). I was nervous but I had everything within a week! Put SuperWinch 4,000lb winches on them.

Got my Polar trailer all put together for the ATV.

Finished my basement bathroom. There was a regular sink in there and I wanted a stationary tub style. It will be our guest bathroom as well so I needed it to look nice too.

Now its on to the shop. Put new outlets in there. 15A outlets with 14 gauge wire with 20A breakers on 2 circuits. 😒 The outlets did have some burning signs on the jumper between the side terminals... I'll have to switch out 2 of the breakers to 15A and be mindful to not use anything too beefy in those ones.

New garage door insulation started.
