on lunch break today at work going to grab a bite to eat. Stumbled upon a headless big bodied deer about a quarter mile away from my permission.... my heart sank. The buck I’ve been after has a significant scar down his left side shoulder. I thought it couldn’t be.... I just saw him yesterday morning behind my work.. so I flipped a u turn and upon further inspection, it was him... big healed scar on his left shoulder and his head just lopped off.... I had 51 sits on that deer and it all ends cause he got hit last night or early this morning. Makes me sick to my stomach. If I have the nerve to post pictures in the next couple of hours I will.. on to the next chapter and next buck. Thankful of my permission property and loved chasing this deer around the past several weeks. Just wanted to fill the people in who were following

Yep hit by a truck for everyone wondering. Front right shoulder broke, broken spine/neck. Absolute shame. He was a stud this year and had a pretty significant body as well. Would have loved to see him make it another year or get killed by me. Not these circumstances...

Here’s the pictures, I didn’t get very many detailed ones of his body as rolling him over was a lot by myself and had limited time. Enough to see the scar and that was it. Can’t believe they just cut the head off him and left the rest of him lay. He was a good 200lbs

Sorry to read about your loss, however it is a part of the game. I went through something quite similar a few years back. I wish you nothing but the best of luck going forward in your deer hunting, sincerely!
That was a velvet buck and u butchered him for dog food or ur food??? am I thinking right?
