Oh and TC...it’s a half ton with a lift, you can’t even talk about towing. Can and should are different and I’m pushing the limits without a lift. Be a death trap if it was lifted. Those factory numbers get thrown out the window when you change the suspension and center of gravity.

Edit: I ain’t saying this to talk your truck down, it really is a nice ass truck! Saying this so you don’t hurt yourself or someone else.
I understand that. I was more or less comparing a stock 3.5L Ecoboost to a stock 5.3L Silverado. The ranger will be the heaviest thing my truck ever pulls, and I still might use the black truck for that.

Lmao! There’s a few good ones on the old YouTube. It’ll be fine for the ranger and like items, no worries. I just wouldn’t put a 30’ bumper pull behind it.

Hitch installed, drove much better! Fully loaded and ready to roll now. Showers and getting on the road. Gonna take it slow and planning on a 4 hour drive.

Have a safe trip!

We are planning our first camping trip of the season next weekend. Actually, we are going fishing and taking a tent along to sleep a few hours each night. :)

Levi and I have been so busy between life and his team shooting practice and the two of us shooting a lot of local matches, it just hasn’t happened yet.

I just drug mine out of the depths, definitely late for Levi and I. The two of us decided we needed to get the hell outta here. So per our usual gypsy traveler style. We decided we needed to go north to do some fishing. All in the last hour we decided we were going up to mackinaw found a spot on the lake, booked it. Now the mad dash to throw shit in the camper and head out Monday morning for a week or so, then we will see where we go from there. I do gotta swing back in town for a thing next week. I’m sure we will take back off for a couple after that though.

Levi and I got back last night from our trip north. We couldn’t have asked better place and view, and if it wasn’t for needing to be back in town tomorrow, we were discussing going up into the upper peninsula to find a spot on Lake Superior for another week or so.
Trust me , I was weighing my need to be back heavily but sometimes you just have to adult, I don’t do it often but, I told a friend I would be back for him.

We accomplished the main goal within a couple days of being there. That was to fill the freezer with as much big Lake Trout as we could, Levi also put a bonus early King and steelhead in the boat also. This was the main reason we burned it back. We had vacuum sealed and shoved so much fish into the freezer that you had to slam the door shut and keep rotating it, as the freezer could not keep up, and I was not about to air ship that shit back home. Thinking back it would have been cheaper than the fuel I spent coming home.

For the rest of the time we spent our afternoons wade fishing smallies in some of the best fishing I’ve had. The biggest hurdle is the hike out to fish waugoshance point. It’s 1.5 miles of knee deep water and mud. Worth every penny!!

Yep, we were the hillbillies amongst all the fancy ass people with there nice waders, vest and stupid little wooden nets, in shorts and sometimes shirts just lipping the fish. For gods sake I would watch those people chase the fish in circles around themselves with this stupid little wooden nets for ever. Looked like a bunch of dogs chasing there tails.

Anyhow I’m sure the adventure will continue after I take care of a few things the next couple days.
