Probably the most disappointing was seeing this marker and driving 5 miles off the main road into a little forgotten town.
When I finally got there...
Unable to find the track and with the song stuck in my head, I pulled into a little corner store and asked where it was. The lady said “O they don’t do that any more. The boys scouts use to go out into the woods an bushwhacked a trail. “
She couldn’t even point me to a landmark where it started.

Not really on a back road, rather in a woodlot. Saw this doing a deer drive. No paths remotely close to it, so I'm sure it's been there awhile.

This old car sits in the timber on the farm I hunt. We were cutting wood near it today so I took a pic of it ID plate. Looks to be a 1953 Chevy 210.
Our local Pileated woodpecker is doing overtime on this tree.
She’s seen many seasons.

Robert and I where traveling to his grandpas a few weeks ago and low and behold we went by a place that I posted about here a few year ago that Austin and I drove by to our first annual TOO MUZZY HUNT! How the hands of time can change things.
Made the final run to complete at this years show.
I only buy during special sales throughout the year. Good deals can be had if you watch. Some would say it’s a waste of money but it brings me happiness and that’s a hard thing to find some times.
My oldest grandson was waiting to help unload which is fine by me since I’m getting to old to “hop up in the bed and unload”
Found a cool one for all 3 grandsons. Shoots a 3.5” army guy onto the air and he parachutes down. Will do those in the daylight before the show.

Got that one a couple years ago but to to fat to wear it now... so the crowd is on its own!
They always throw in 1-2 shirts. This year
the mngr threw in 2 of these.
