Damn that sucks Phil. I use a kitchen Aid with the grinder attachment. Its the pro version and i've done about a dozen deer with it.

Kitchenaide should stand behind it, especially with what they charge for those things....
One year warranty. I'm thinking $350 on sale when I bought it. Seeing them for around $200 now. I'm wondering if they didn't cheapen them up a bunch?

Surprised Joe has done so many deer with that thing. I was not impressed. Then again, maybe ours was about to go bad and not doing the job as it was supposed to?

My wife has one. It's been sitting on the counter for 17 years now. When in use it is her trophy. I wouldn't consider it for grinding because I don't foresee as it being heavy enough plus the fact I have a #32 grinder already that can spin out 100# pretty quickly.

I need to go out to my grandpas old place and take a picture of our meat grinder lol....grandpa bought it back the late 80’s. I think it’s from the 50’s??? We can’t find a part, so we saved the old pull tabs from Pabst in the 70’s?? When one wears out we put a new tab in lol ....sucker has to weight a couple hundred pounds.

Got it apart. Then I received an email reply from manufacturer. In this day and age I don't they will stand behind their product. I will be patient and hear them out. You never know. Maybe they will. Maybe they've seen this before. Maybe it is a first and they will want to inspect it themselves. Maybe they will dissect it for engineering education and sell me a new one at reduced cost? Maybe it is wishful thinking? I don't know but I do know it was a bear pulling that 5" tube out of the 6" tube that was twisted. Pulling it apart was an engineering feat in itself.

Taxes are going to be about $4k more than expected. My wife found extra income she didn't inform me of before.

Signed up for Obamacare....more than the house and it sucks for coverage.

Washer AND dryer went out. Got a decade out of them but still the timing sucks.

Hub or something went out on the truck.

Doing a job that is taking longer than expected and had to hire more help to finish and I will still be lucky to be done by Christmas.

Haven't hunted one day this season.

There is more but I am feeling like I'm whining.

Bah fuggin humbug!

Man Beener, hope things turn around quick for ya. I know when it rains it pours, just remember to stop and enjoy your family whether or not the job gets done.

Hats off to the manufacturer. They returned my call. Apparently it was purchased in 2010. No such warranty. They have since discontinued this model due to such issues. He has offered to replace it with the newer/larger/more sturdy design at cost. Now I'm awaiting to find out what "cost" is. I paid $900 for mine in 2010 plus shipping and some skid steer couplers to hook the hydraulic lines. Roughly $1200 total. Retail on the larger model is $1550. Ugh. Guess I'll hear him out. The company could have just said "sorry about your luck."

Good to see them at least make an offer and give you an option.

Head up and keep fighting the good fight, Charles.

Was in AL last Sunday - Friday and again this Monday - tomorrow for a software go-live.

One of my labs had ACL surgery in July and she had patella reconstructive surgery yesterday. Fortunately wife and kids Christmas break started this week.

Thanks all. It will all be fine just frustrating. We have the money to cover everything but still...

Going to continue dumping. My Mom has some pretty serious medical stuff going on. She is lying to us and Docs about symptoms not to "worry" us. Had a big fallout over it with my sister as she enables the behavior. Like, I lost my shit big time. Which made my Mom breakdown. So bad I thought she was going to have a stroke.

Good thing is it got some shit on the table that needed dealt with. Mom comes out and tells me she thinks she had a heart attack (chest pains), took some aspirin and then didn't know when she passed out. Told no one until after I lost my shit.

Just seems like everything that is under my pervue is going to shit and I have to deal, continuously, as of late.
