While we were at camp in tioga/potter county Pennsylvania a group of us went to sportsman’s warehouse in Corning NY and spent a few grand in rifles, ammo, skeet, scopes and a bunch of other stuff. NJ doesn’t have a sportsman’s warehouse and the closest one to where most of us live is near Harrisburg, Pa…about a 2 hour drive. I called to see if they had a particular rifle and the guy on the phone said they don’t sell firearms to NJ residents. I asked why and he said company policy. Now why would a store in NY sell us firearms but not in PA? Emails and Facebook posts on their page have gone unanswered. Something seems fucky!🤬

Putting this here since it's pretty the "rant" thread, but whatever happened to moving your vehicle after you pumped your gas if you needed to go inside? Pulled in to our local gas station and waited well over 5 minutes to get to a pump because 5 vehicles were taking up all 4 lanes and not a one was pumping gas! It's like that more than it should be down there too. Ridiculous.

Breath homie. Small town problems are better than the big city problems. I'd rather wait to get fuel than have a gas station on every corner. Hell, I even refuse to use the one not locally owned. I'd wait 20 minutes to support the local. Reach in that cooler and grab a beverage. It's gonna be okay. Glad that the local business is doing well. 👍

I ain't in that big of hurry these days. Enough other things piss me off😂

Can someone explain to me Why 'TF' the Canadian national anthem is sung on our homeland on national TV at the Michigan Speedway for the beginning of NASCAR's event?

What in the hell is wrong with our country? I just don't get it man....

So am I to understand that is a well intended justification for NASCAR NOT to sing our national anthem for our country, but rather, Canada's?

Meanwhile, many of our fellow Americans are worried, hurting and perhaps scared shitless right now, including perhaps, active military service members that are currently running life saving operations to save lives overseas.

I just wonder how that might make them feel if any of them have or had the opportunity to tune in by not seeing or hearing our very own national anthem at one of the biggest sporting events of today on our national network television, especially right after the huge debacle by the current administration regarding the whole Afghanistan situation, that put them in that position?

Sure, I see where you're coming from... makes complete and total sense to me....

The sang the American National Anthem

If they did, I didn't see or hear it moments before the start your engines call. I guess I'll have take your word for it.

Anyways, I shut the TV off. I'm done with our professional sports. Each time I try watch one of them over recent years, I get more and more disappointed.

Denny, it typically goes Canadian anthem followed by US, followed by flyover. I sang their anthem with pride the last 3 nights along side thousands of other great Americans and Canadians at the National Pulling Championships in Bowling Green. About 1/3 of the fans are Canucks and they are great people. Lots of great memories at BG and MIS with friends from up north, this is very common up here.

Well, please beg my pardon, cause I certainly must have missed it. All I saw was the Canadian national anthem followed up by the grand marshal of start your engines call. I apparently tuned in a little too late. My bad!

Good, glad to hear that it did indeed happen, thanks!

Got an answer to my email from sportsman’s warehouse. It is their company policy to NOT sell firearms to NJ residents out of their Pennsylvania stores because of NJ’s strict gun laws. NY has laws that are just as strict as NJ so they will sell firearms to NJ residents from their NY stores. They went on to say that I can order a firearm online and have it shipped to a FFL holder. At least they did reach out with an answer, I’ll give them that…although I’m still not happy.
