One small buck, one pretty dang nice one. It was the big 6 I posted a pic of somewhere the other day. I'll post pics when I get home.
Saw 3 small bucks hit on the freeway on way home from work.Little bucks are getting antsy big boys are just waiting for prime time.

Well, it seemed like a good idea .... I went back to my morning spot in the dark & the deer were already there. I had just gotten a mms pic of a smaller buck as I was leaving the house, so I figured I was gonna bump something. Nothing else was moving afterwards until @ 0830, I started hearing half ass snorts.... over by my house about 100 yards away. There's a woodlot next to my house & I never hear alarmed deer there. The snorting continued off & on, then there was a deer snorting back behind me, where I was last night. I'm thinking there's no way they could scent me. Soon afterwards, I heard a long gutteral grunt where the 1st snorting is. Then there was a lot of comotion going on , but just briefly, then the snorting started up again, then trailed off. I figured some buck was trying to pin down a doe, hence the snorts, I dunno. I ended up walking over @ 1000 & I just knew I was gonna bumped something. Sure enough, I saw a doe heading up to the backside of the lot. Never did see the buck , but there were some very fresh scrapes at the entrance of the woodlot. I don't know why I never sit in there, since their always coming thru. That's gonna change I do beleive. I can't go back out tonight & tomorrow will be iffy.

Well, I headed back in. No more sightings. On the way out I walked into the woods for the first time this season (don't wanna disturb it early) and found that there is a huge scrape 20 yards behind my stand. Pulled my camera and brought it back with me to the cabin but it is going to go over the scrape when I go back out this evening.
While in the cabin and I pulled the card....bucks visiting this area every evening so I will be back out. Curious to see what will happen now that the corn was taken down last night.

Corn is down on a farm I picked up last year. I have a stand that needs a due S wind and we've got that. I'm hoping to get home in time or a sit tonight.
Hoping to get out this evening. Not sure with work and family though. Good luck to all the guys out there. Knock em down.
