The saving grace is we jumped him almost 9 hours after the shot. And he was obviously feeling it.. Jd said he stood up real slow, looked back at him kinda wobbly, then went over the hill towards the corn... When he got to the bottom he either stopped, started walking, or bedded again. He didn't go like his ass was on fire. There we're actually 3 beds within 5 feet of each other.. hopefully.. knock on wood.. he doesn't feel like going far..
I bet he's hurtin bad enough to just bed down far enough from you.... They will play leap frog with you when they're gut shot.....

That last pic looks like a clot from the liver. The liver will bleed and bleed when it's just nicked. That's a dead deer with a busted cut and nicked liver IMO...
thanks jesse . you beat me to it . good blood it looks like joe . ifn you was closer i would be more than happy to give you a hand . remember one i gut shot . but i didnt hit a limb.. lol went after him after dark . moved slow was easy just looking where the light was pointed . kept out the distractions . then he didnt run from the light . walked up 10 yards , popped him again .
