I didn't see anything from the stand this morning. I skirted the property and NOTHING was moving. I went back to my stand and grab the trail cams to put them back out. Low and behold I bump a doe out of the north block an hour after I had already walk through there. She jumped out at about 10:45 this morning. I think the deer in my woods are waiting till late morning/early afternoon to even start moving with all this fuggin wind.

Might try it again this evening after I take the boy Trick or Treating here.

Sitting in the stand right now. It is a little on the breezy side right now. Hope it settles down a little as it gets toward dusk. Hunting the same property that my wife missed the doe on. Sitting in the stand instead of the blind. This place hasn't been touched in a little over two weeks. Wishing to catch some chasing but kinda optomistic right now.

Kody and I were shut out this morning. I was really shocked the deer werent moving. It was fairly calm in regard to the wind which was a first in awhile. He got cold at 9:30 and we had to leave :(
Skipped this evening for trick or treat... Damn kids lol

Had three bucks walk under me tonight. The second one through was a 155 inch 10 and the last was a 7 that had a busted brow tine. If he had the other brow he'd been a 140 class 8. Be back at it in the morning....

Skunked Saturday evening, windy as hell in NE OH.

Yesterday morning I had a 6 pt come in but nothing else. Good news is a scrape has been made 20 yards from my stand and there were 2 new rubs within 15 yards so with vacation time the end of this week, hoping it comes together.

Total hours: 41
Avg length of hunt: 4.10
Number of doe: 12
Number of bucks: 10

Getting a late start to the day but heading to the stand anyway lol. First day with no WIND and a heavy frost to boot. Something should be moving out there lol.

Seen 3 bucks tonight. A 6 point, small 8 and a shooter 8. All were within range. Only problem is I only have doe tags. I need to find the girls! Jumped a whole herd on the way out. Next time I'm not going to hunt as deep.

Sat from noon till after dark, no deer but a flock of 15 turkey hung around the last couple of hours. I heard some noise behind me and it ended up being two yotes. They started to stalk the turkey and never came with in range. One of them was blonde pretty cool to see. If it would of been closer I'd be posting pictures of that one lol... Got down after dark and didn't spook anything on the way out... Got mixed feelings on that one ...:smiley_armscrossed: Back out in the morning and hoping to see more activity. Seems morning hunts are more productive so far...

My friend that hunts the opposite end of the property we hunt had lots of action tonight. He saw a 9 that we got on camera earlier in September. It is a giant 9. It stayed about 60 yards out and was guarding a thicket with a couple doe in it.
My buddy said a borderline shooter 8 and a 7 came in together, tried to go near the thicket, and the 9 chased them out. I guess he was snort wheezing at the smaller bucks.
He tried some calls with no luck. He had shots at the 7 and 8, but he was hoping that 9 would come closer.
