Well I lost one this morning. Momma doe. No blood. Arrow did not pass through. Saw fletch's as she ran off. Looked like arrow went in all the way to the fletches. Shot looked a tad low and a tad back but not too far. Dave and Michael came out and helped look. No dice. Time to regroup. Will go out and hunt again in the morning. After my hunt I will take another look. I am fairly confident she is dead just think the arrow had the whole plugged so she is filling up with blood. Big Kick in the nuts!

It happens unfortunately and it totally sucks, that I know. Good luck in trying to find her, but don't let it get you down if you don't. The yotes were out heavy this morning in my area. If you have them in yours as well, I'm sure they'll appreciate the effortless free meal. Keep plugging away buddy!

As always, best of luck to you Jon!

I haven't hunted hard in a couple of years. Its been all fun and alot of messes. Deer haven't been moving for a few days and Sunday is calling for 40 mph winds. I think I'm gonna pack a few sandwiches and make a day of it. Wind will be perfect for my go-to spot. Cams aren't showing much, but I sure would like to be there if a good one does show up! Take my own picture at just the right angle (you know the one...)! Be a good day for a nap in the woods.

I need to update this.

That next day I show a nice buck in the morning and never found him. Seen a few much bigger since. Had a great hunt out there with my daughter 2 mornings of youth. Michael and I hunted monday. Seen a few. I passed on a buck I shouldn't have...now I can't help but think that it was the one I wounded and I should've drilled him.

Hows that @5Cent ? Maybe later I'll do some actually stories of those hunts and other things we have been dealing with. Lol.
