Coldest and shortest hunt of my life today. -6 with -30 windchill. We killed 2 blacks and a greenhead. Could of killed a few more when a ball of 10-12 landed 5 yards from us as we were standing backwards to the river trying to block the wind.

We located a nice little loafing area on the river last weekend that we are setting up on this Saturday. Two big dead falls create a 75 yard wide area that is really sheltered. Lots of knee deep water to swim around in with some gnarly tree roots to hide in. Looking forward to hunting there and it not being ridiculously cold!!!

Jake came down tonught. It was a rrough one.tonight. but we got our 3 man limit on the river. Birds were.hesitant to decoy. Old Leo got a work out. He had to climb onto an ice shelf with every retrieve. Hes one tired pup.

9 geese are hard enough on a dog. Add ice to the equation and yep that's a frickin work out. Can't ask for more than that! Nice work fellas.
