Hoping she lasts ya a long time Dave, or at least better then the last few have! Dustin digging up that comment is fucking golden🤣

That was an LB7 correct? Was it a reman injector or brand new? If brand new, I would think they own some of the failure. This shit should be designed out by now given its been 20yrs since launch.

The Jeep made it's last trip a few months ago. It's been a pain in the ass trying to find a replacement with the market the way it is. I've been looking for months and just couldn't wrap my head around prices and milage. Finally got to the point something had to give so I forced myself to bite the bullet and face the fact prices aren't coming back down anytime soon. I ended up in Toledo and picked up a 2014 F-150 with just over 86k miles on it. Far from a perfect truck as it has some scratches in the clear coat and stains from spilled drinks on the seats but it fit my budget and my needs. I stayed away from the V6's with twin turbos and opted for the V8 5.0 version. It may not get as good of gas mileage but I have less to worry about when it comes to replacing $1500 a piece turbos. Hard to find a full size bed these days so I opted for the smaller super cab and not the super crew to give me a little longer bed length.

Nice upgrade, Adam! Hopefully it gives you years of trouble free miles!!!
We can hope. Only problem with buying used is the fact you never know what the history is. Seems dealerships like to turn off dashboard lights. I also have to say they really suck at detailing vehicles these days. I don't know if it's the fact they fly out the door so fast they don't bother doing much other then run a vacuum or if it's just the lack of staff or what. A lot of trucks I looked at online were absolutely filthy inside or outside didn't seem to matter.

I agree with them trying to do minimal work and send you on the way. When Jenna was purchasing her GMC Terrain there were a couple scratches and dirt on seats and floor mats they said sure we will take care of. Difference was her boyfriend was with her and he waited till the paperwork was drawn up and he made her/them pause to sign until they were able to inspect every single promise they made. Then she signed. LMAO he didn’t let her get the wool pulled over her eyes and have to bring it back “one day” to get everything taken care of. Dealer was clearly miffed at him. 🤣

The plastic fender covers, I’d remove, clean them up and wax the covered up part for some extra protection.

I like your thinking, Adam. I realize technology has done impressive things. Still a fan of "no replacement for displacement". I'd opt for the longer bed too. Good looking ride!
