The world has officially gone crazy. I'm moving assets/debts/equity around and just refinanced my 2020 Silverado over the phone with current credit union (they have original note).

I've owed it now just under 2.5yrs and put 30K miles on it. Bank value just on VIN, w/o, options, came in $14K over what I paid for it.

Something to think about if you want to release any equity, take advantage of rates before they climb more, pay off higher % debts, etc. I'll play their game to my advantage all day long......crazy and it's not even a yota🤣

I checked the Kelly blue book value on my 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 diesel with 8’ bed. Paid $55,000 in September of 2014. Value today was $45-47,000. It has a little over 70,000 miles on it. I was surprised it held that much value after 7 1/2 years. I’m trading it in on a brand new 2021 Chevy Colorado. It is a LT with the redline package…got them to add the trail boss package, heated seats, tonneau cover, tow package and bigger off road tires…even swap. They’ll probably sell my truck for what i originally paid for it.

Similar to all of you we just got a letter from the dealer we bought our '19 from, they want to buy it back for $5K more than we paid for it 1 1/2 years ago! Hell I'd do it but damn we need a truck bad and by those prices we couldn't touch one.

Exactly. I was reassessing needs and when looking at alternatives, nope, lmao!

I scroll. I used to enjoy looking at used trucks and planning for future purchases. I used to enjoy finding deals. There are very few to be had. 2017 F350 all decked out with 180,000 miles for $40,000? What are they smoking? Not a chance I'd pay that. Apparently someone is willing to get close or it wouldn't have been advertised at that price. Insane!

No such thing as close anymore. You pay what they ask or the next guy does. Pretty simple.

It actually worked out for me. I downsized from a full size diesel truck which drove like a boat, to a mid size truck. I’ll use the midsize more day to day year round then I did the Silverado. Still haven’t picked up the new truck yet as they are still putting the upgrades that I asked for. My Silverado was on their web site for less than a day…it said “call for price”. Not listed anymore…someone must’ve been on a waiting list for a full size diesel truck. I’m going to ask what it sold for when I go to pick up my new truck…then again, maybe I shouldn’t…don’t want to get pissed off.😂

I noticed the dealers here in NJ are adding 5 grand to the base price and calling it a “market adjustment”. Dealer lots are bare…I’d say 20-30% capacity. The salesman also told me there is a six month wait for the computer chips and at least that long to get a special order vehicle. They must’ve really wanted my Silverado as they waived the market adjustment on my new truck.😂

Picked up the new truck today. Took two weeks for them to call me to pick it up after putting in the upgrades I wanted….but after inspecting the truck I noticed they put on a tow hitch but didn’t put in the wiring harness. They ordered it and now I’ll have to go back next week and wait while they put it in. I love the truck but the customer service is really lacking. If I had to list everything these idiots f’d up, this post would look like a novel…perfect example of the left hand not knowing what the right hand was doing. The poor guy in service got to see my bad side as I asked him to see a manager and he said “you have to go to sales…that’s not my department”. I felt bad because it looked like he was going to cry. Probably telling his coworkers about the encounter with 275 pounds of angry hairy ham!😂 Can’t wait to get that survey emailed to me so I can tear them a new ass.
