Get in where they roost or set up along their travel to the roost, call softly. Other than that I have no more advice, I've never killed one in the evening.

I'm at the pizza joint and Mason is on his first solo turkey hunt. He said there was a gobbler in the field when he got to the blind. He slipped into the blind and the bird fed off. Man, I hope he kills one tonight. Kid has had a tough season and could use a dumb bird to come along.

Had 6 working this morning from all directions until they all came together, grouped up with some hens and then I had to get my ass to work.. I think if I had a few more hours I might have been able to close the deal.. or maybe not... damn birds lmao

I had a gobbler this morning that made a sound i've never heard... Sounded like a very deep raspy cluck/yelp but more like it was trying to bark like a dog and yelling at me all at the same time. Did it several times over the course of an hour
Bout to head out on a hunt with big nips. Maybe our luck will change today! Good luck out there fellas

Ha, awesome. I fed one some lead this morning too. It is sure fun when they tell you where their at!!!! Now it's time for bed, night shifts ruin all the fun, dang.
