Turkeys tell you where they are…. That’s huge.
Almost all long beards are the equivalent to 120” bucks. I will kill 120” turkeys all day long.

Fortunately, you can’t really tell the difference with turkeys in the heat of the moment. I’m just dumb enough to do that if I could. Yesterdays bird was probably in that ballpark. He’s the 3rd highest scoring bird I’ve killed.
A little slow in WV this morning. I had to jockey around a bit to get away from people in the spots I wanted to go so I was a bit late getting in. One gobble in the direction of where another hunter was parked. Light rain off and on. Currently sitting on the edge of a clear cut on a knob just glassing and enjoying the view. Hoping for a little luck with the weather and some mid morning action

Supposedly it was a clogged screen around the pressure sending unit. Apparently a common issue with that engine. They had it running and holding pressure after cleaning the screen. I told em go ahead and replace the screen and sensor while they’re in there. Should be ready today or tomorrow

My buddy finally killed the bird he’s been after all week. The first 2 days he had gun malfunctions. Yesterday it was in range but he couldn’t see it. Finally today it came back to the same spot and he killed it. A 22 pound 2 year old.
I might have heard it gobble right before he shot. That’s the only one.

Only gobbler I saw ran across the road in front of me as I was leaving. I did get the truck back though so all in all a good day

Well, I put up blinds yesterday and today a guest was hiking around and took this.... Sat opener is looking good.

Jealous.... Haven't seen a single bird in 2 weeks . Maybe they're just getting plenty of rest to screw with my head on the opener

For whatever reason they really like 2 sections of the property. Gobbling has been slow, so I don't know how well they'll respond to calls. I'm not near good enough to run and 'twang' with a bow so I'm limited to a single location. Good luck tomorrow to everyone.
