Hand to hand combat was a blast too. Pugil sticks. Buttstroke to the head. Affix bayonet. Low crawl under live fire at night with the tracers buzzing overhead. Yeah. Think I still have scars from the Fort Leonard Wood rocks from some of these adventures.

Yesterday I sneezed and thought I pulled a muscle. I'm not 18 anymore. 😢

Fuck the mother fucking VA! When I was in alaska they took great pride in the system and the veterans. It was the number 1 VA in the country. Every one I've been in in Ohio has sucked. It's a damn shame you can't get good health care here without paying out of pocket. 😡😡😡
About every veteran I worked with had negative things to say about the VA in Cincy. SAD that after you all serving our country can’t get top quality treatment and respect y’all deserve.

Just read Sarah Cavanaugh plead guilty to all kinds of stolen valor ,she worked at a Va clinic falsified documents claimed to be injured in an ied attack , wore ribbons and uniform , never served getting 6 years in prison and pay back money , she uses the system to beat out a double amputee for art therapy classes and got a month off work , glad she got caught , never hit a woman but damn

Thinking of you brothers today. Just watched a tiktok that was pretty powerful. It was a veteran wanting a suicide by cop. He was lucky that the first responder was an veteran. He talked the man down and then broke down himself. The pain is real. We all have it, some just more than others. In the end, we can all relate. Even if you never seen front lines or anything like that. The pain of walking away from everything you know and making the person you are today is a walk many never know. The strength it takes to want to make a difference or change yourself is one of only a hero. This weekend I will be with a couple of veteran brothers myself. We probably won't get into serious talk as words don't need shared. But we will know and that us often enough. Just the company is good. I suggest you find your own or join ours. I'm not saying this weekend, but any weekend, any time. These are brothers I could cl at any given hour and they will answer the phone. Get you some of those guys in your life. I have never needed it and they have never used but the insurance is great.

Now, go fuck yourself 🖕🏿 and have a miserable day🖕🏿

I had 2 Marine buddies I served with in Lima 3/25 down to the cabin last fall. Hadn’t seen each other in 30 years. One was the company gunny who witnessed untold causalities. He Carrie’s a heavy mental load. Just seeing his face and demeanor change just by talking to guys who get it was cleansing for him. Almost like being given confirmation of what he experienced and did was enormously comforting. Can’t stress enough how beneficial that kind of camaraderie can be.
