Saving face? They quit doing their veteran discount awhile back. Sounds like they are trying to gain a bigger share of the market. Their prices are thru the roof lately. Rural King, Runnings, and similar are giving them heck. I do appreciate what they are offering. Not trying to be negative. It sounds like a great marketing plan.

The last four years have been quite a test for retail stores. Economy can't be helping them now either with inflation hurting the consumers. It's just going to take a little more than 2% to lure me in when their prices are quite a bit higher than the other stores I go to.

Lots of places are seeing a drop in revenue. People are pulling back on big ticket items. Just heard ford offering $5k off broncos. First time I’ve ever heard that since they brought them back out….

I've seen rumblings (haven't investigated for myself) that TSC has gone very DEI and is losing market share to Rural King

The only thing TSC has over Rural King is number of locations. I’d use RK instead of TSC if we had one close by…. Right now the closest I believe is Virginia or western part of NC.
We have 3 TSC stores within 30 minutes of travel.

Got this from a buddy. I haven’t seen the email yet….
For all the post 9/11 veterans, keep up on this kind of information.

So I've glanced at it before but didn't read into it very much. A more detailed article popped up on my Google feed today. Anyone read into Project 2025? Thoughts? Concerns? Just looking for opinions on the matter that's all nothing more nothing less

It's the product of a conservative think tank called the Heritage Foundation. It is not part of the republican platform and Trump has said he won't be governed by it. He will be using agenda 47 which is also the official platform of the party . The reason you are seeing it is because the media is pushing it as a fear mongering tool in lock step with the democrats talking points.

Wonder what our Vietnam veterans think of this one?

Probably but not as strong as the feels as WWII vets when Japan 🇯🇵 and the US became officially allies in 1951 and we started arming them... only 6 years after the last shots were fired. Vietnam 🇻🇳 is almost 50 years. Of course in that case we lost, like in Afghanistan 🇦🇫.
