SC closed all of its state ramps. This weekend will show in NC will follow suit. If people behave and don’t cause Johnny law too show up then it should be ok. I don’t have high hopes though.
It wouldn’t surprise me if the Governor does the same here in Ohio for the ramps along Lake Erie.

This is a snippet of what the NCWR put out.

This is a time for each of us to work together to be part of the solution and not the problem. We are asking each of you to do your part when using any of our access areas. In order to keep these doorways to North Carolina’s public trust resources open, we are relying on the compliance of every person.
Failure to comply WILL LEAD to CLOSURES of boating and fishing access areas.

My wife's best friend's aunt has Sandusky River front property, I am trying to gain access, the aunt is under the impression that fishing on the river is now illegal, my wife's friend is like "no, they just don't what people together fishing, fishing alone on private property is okay".

NC public boat ramps are an absolute shit show J, I know from experience, putting a boat in by yourself was impossible

IMO these public access point should be closed. The writing is on the walls to follow for the same reasons they closed public campgrounds.

if your following the rules and maintaining/social distancing yourself-I don't see the problem, but it is what it is, I have a few secret public land spots off of access roads that the general population are ignorant too, hopefully @jagermeister doesn't beat me there

Idk man, personally, I’d like to have all my elders around for next season. And if I gotta give up a year of fishing/camping to make that happen, I’m good with it.

Charter fishing is considered a non essential business. As a captain myself I dont see how you could maintain social distancing on a boat with a crew of people passing rods back and forth. I don't know of any charters in the west end running 5 or 6 man trips. There are a few running small trips. I am not aware of Ohio shutting down charters as of yet. I've been on the lake fishing the last 2 days and have not seen a single 6 man charter anywhere.
