Crazy thing is we decided to stop fishing at 2pm so we had plenty of time to make the long walk back to truck and make weigh in. At 1:55 Nate hooks up as Im releasing a smaller fish. He looks at me and says, "this one's got some shoulders Red". Sure as shit, biggest fish of the day. A solid 1lb upgrade for us. We knew it as soon as I netted it. We let out a loud "woooo!"

When I retire I need to book a trip with @Gern186 to get the lake experience then go to the maumee river and try that out. The only time I fished for walleye was when I was in Saskatchewan and I loved it. I think it is the best tasting freshwater fish there is.
